Dr. Leann Olansky is Professor of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology at the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City. She is Head of the Diabetes Program and Director of the Metabolism Research Center. She has had a particular interest in diabetic neuropathy and has been a leading investigator in numerous trials of agents to slow or reverse neuropathy. Dr. Olansky is considered a regional consultant in the State of Oklahoma. She has excellent relationships with a large number of referring physicians. She currently follows about 1200 patients. She has a 1000 square foot outpatient clinical facility with four exam rooms. There are three clinical trials coordinators. She has identified about 250 patients who would meet the trial criteria. Her primary coordinator for this study is Betty Langer.
